Wild Flowers Right In Your Own Backyard
In most localities, there are a wealth of seemingly “wild” flowers native to the region. These wild flowers can provide the most amazing floral arrangements with just a little bit of planning and design. Don’t forget that many wild flowers may also be dried to liven up a room in winter months.

Develop a good eye for the kinds of receptacles that serve double duty as a vase or flower container. Many of these often come from simple and unexpected sources. Make sure they hold water well enough for wild flowers to retain their freshness.Additional information can be found at http://www.proflowers.com/blog/common-flowers-in-florida. Do be aware that in some areas, certain wild flowers are on endangered species environmental lists before picking.

How To Arrange Wild Flowers At Home
Select cuttings from wild flowers with varied profusions of colors and textures. Use contrasting colors that begin with darker colors at the base and lighter colors on gradient levels of your floral design. For example, if you choose Swedish Lace, give the arrangement a more linear look for balance by adding reed grasses in a darker green hue. Wild bluebells and goldenrod look pretty with springs of wild fern or scrub pine tufts.

Flower arrangements are good gifts and decorative pieces in rooms or at events. Following these tips for arrange fresh cut flowers helps to ensure long-lasting and beautiful arrangements that your guests will notice.

The vase should be appropriate for the desired arrangement. For larger spaces, the vase should be larger and hold many flowers. For smaller settings, a tall small vase with a few flowers is a good option. The size of the vase should be proportionate to the flowers. Also, the vase needs to be a size that can accommodate the flowers and necessary amounts of water.

Flowers need appropriate amounts of moisture. If you intend on using foam in your arrangements, use the green foam. This foam is best for fresh cut flowers and foliage. The foam should soak in a bucket for a few seconds. When the top layer is even with the water level, it is ready. Please note that over soaking foam can cause it to break.

Make the arrangements fun and cohesive. Consider arranging flowers by their color and texture. Not all flowers look good together. Also, try to use different angles when arranging flowers like Roses and Carnations. Different angles create interesting arrangements that guests will enjoy.

Knowing these tips for arranging fresh cut flowers is a good way to guarantee that your arrangements will look great and last.

Creating your own cascading bridal bouquet can be fun and satisfying. This stylish bouquet can be made up to 48 hours before the event.
Materials
Bouquet holder with floral foam
Bucket filled with cool water
Sharp floral shears
Flower food
Floral wire
Floral tape
Ribbon
Spray bottle
Greenery and flowers
Method
Start by trimming one half and inch off the ends of all the flowers and greenery. Put flowers, greenery, and bouquet holder in the bucket of water treated with commercial floral food. Allow a minimum of 20-30 minutes to absorb the food and moisture. Start with the longest stems first, inserting them approximately one third of the way up from the bottom of the foam basket. Using shorter stems create the shape of the top of the bouquet. Use floral tape and wire to stabilize where needed.

Shorter stems of flowers and greenery fill in and balance the head of the bouquet. Using greenery at the bottom, create a backdrop for the cascading flowers. Fill in the area with greenery below the long cascading stems; smaller blossoms can create depth. Add ribbon to cascade six inches below the flowers.
Spray and keep chilled until several hours before the event.
